HI - DEFINITION TV AS STANDARD IN SCRUTON HOMES - 08/10/06

Hi- Definition TV as standard in Scruton homes

Scruton is the first home builder in Hull and the East Riding to provide hi-definition television as a standard fitting in a selection of their homes. The three-storey town houses at the development at Woodleigh Green, in Sutton on Hull, are the first to benefit from this decision.

Ian Scruton, Managing Director, comments:
“I believe that a Scruton home is not only a byword for quality and finish but also an evolving product – and the installation of hi-definition TVs, with 42-inch plasma screens, is just one way in which we are achieving this vision. HDTV is a widescreen, high-resolution format that has five times more information on the screen than conventional television. I’m sure our homeowners will appreciate this inclusion in our sales package.”

Each hi-definition television is connected to a Sky package – the home cinema system with Dolby® Digital 5.1 surround sound. There are ‘plug and play’ speakers in three other rooms around the house; the HDMI cabling allows flexibility, with the potential for connection to DVDs or play stations as well as televisions.

Family members will be able to access nine television channels via this system, and more will become available as the digital changeover occurs.
